Promotion is an essential part of releasing a new version. Next to the usual channels (social media, newsletter, own forum), updates should be posted to some websites.

  1. PR distribution channels

These expect a properly written / formatted press release.

These expect either press release, or, much preferred, individual content focusing on a specific topic (such as a more detailed look at a new feature).
