Techtrees are the largest type of mod for MegagGlest, but also the most expansive and elaborative. A techtree is a full set of factions with their own resources and damage types. Inside a game, all players must use the same techtree, but can use different factions which belong to it. Magitech is an example of a techtree, and contains the Magic and Tech factions. Because techtrees contain many units, upgrades, resources, and more, they are the most work for modders, but also catch the eye of players more than any other type of mod.
